[ Today, Lightning's doing something fairly unusual in comparison to her normal - and recently even darker than normal - behavior. For once, she's outside and yet doesn't seem busy, merely watching as her puppy Baldr frolics about in the general area of community housing 4 in search of sticks to defeat, things to dig up, and nearby people to greet. In fact, the young woman and dog look pretty safe to come 'visit' with today- especially since there's also no gunblade in sight, and as she sits down to lean against the outside wall, she makes a pretty inane-seeming public message. ]

These seasons... usually last about three months each, right? How much warmer does it get?

[ While Baldr leans into the touch, there's a too-long pause before this girl finally offers up what she goes by- ]

Lightning. [ And because now she's curious- ] How old are you, Seto?

It's nice to meet you Lightning.

[He continues to pet Baldr's head, blinking a bit at the question but answers] I'm 15 now. Why do you ask?

Just curious.

[ A touch dark there, though fortunately, "because you act weird" is a bit too harsh even for Lightning right now. It's not like she doesn't know a nineteen year old who acts any better, anyway. ]

[Even if she had told him that he acts weird, he would've been confused. He doesn't know how other 15 year olds act. He stares at her for a moment, thinking. He doesn't want to pry, so he bites his lip before asking]

How old are you? Y-You don't have to answer if you don't want to.

... Twenty-one.

[ The answer is completely neutral, and Lightning doesn't even look at Seto as she delivers it. Who knows her exact age here, though, given the differences in the calendar... and the fact that even when she'd still been 'home,' she hadn't been completely sure how long it had been since her birthday. ]

Really? I thought you were nineteen to be honest.

[Not that he's really good at telling age differences apart. He's only been with one person his whole life so it's hard for him to tell how old people are when they're young. He shifts to a more comfortable position by sitting criss cross on the ground, still petting the puppy]

Really.

[ Flat, and her body language is touch warily uncertain, even if he probably won't be able to tell. Most people would have guessed older for her, probably, if she didn't actually look younger. She's been an 'adult' for quite a bit longer than most her age- at least where she's from.

Baldr, meanwhile, rolls onto his side, stretching out his legs. Seems he's pretty comfortable, regardless of the misunderstanding shortly beforehand. ]

[Seto isn't able to catch the uncertain look she has since he's too busy watching Badlr roll onto his side. He can't help but laugh a little but he scratches his tummy gently. He's pretty comfortable himself, almost as if he forgot about his fear of dogs]

Hey, Lightning? Did you just arrive here like me? [He looks at her, tilting his head a little]

[ After playing so hard and then finding someone to pet him as he lies in the sun? It literally takes Baldr only seconds to start falling asleep. Lightning just lifts her hand after a moment, idly smoothing out the section of fur where it had been before pulling back. ]

No... [ She's not surprised to learn he's new, though. ]

How long have you been here??

[He's not really surprised that Lightning isn't new, she seems pretty settled in here. He gives Baldr just a few more pets as he falls asleep, then pulls his hand away and sits up straight so he can look at her]

[ A very quiet scoff as she regards him with a mild frown, her head turned slightly away. ]

Just over six months, by the calendar here.

[That makes Seto frown and worry a little, did he say something wrong?]

That's a long time. Do you miss your home?

[ That's because he's touching on stuff she's barely willing to discuss with her friends. Her expression doesn't change for the good in the slightest. ]

Who wouldn't?

[ Well, okay, she's since been made aware that there are people who don't, but that's not important. This place is not where they belong. ]

[It takes him a moment to respond to that. Sure he misses his home, he misses Sai too but...here he's actually with his best friend again and he's no longer alone. He likes it here but still...]

...Yeah...Everyone misses their home some time or another.
