[ Oh Aerith reads that expression--and she gets a mischievous one of her own at her face, leaning toward Light. ] What, is something the matter?

[ Tsk tsk, get out of her space, Aerith! She huffs lightly, coming up with an excuse. ]

... Doesn't really seem like the kind of thing Cloud would have been into, I guess.

Well he didn't pick it, we were stuck at the Gold Saucer for the night. [ By a "conveniently" broken tram--in retrospect, a bit "ugh", but she just shakes her head. ] ...But I think he enjoyed the rest of the amusement park. He doesn't look it, Cloud's a bit like a little kid sometimes. When he wins a chocobo race, he'd jump up and down! [ She giggles at the memory of that, looking around at the rides and games in the park. ] I'm sure there's things here he'd like... Probably a game, so he could show off.

... You really liked him.

[ Her voice is super-neutral; all things considered, that could totally be taken as payback for making her talk even vaguely about her own feelings... but it's not. Just an observation. ]

I still do. [ She doesn't want to take the past tense on that. ]

Hmm.

[ Lightning looks away, studying the park's offerings with mostly-unfocused eyes as she thinks on that. Even if it's still not as confirmed as it could have been with just that said... yeah, both Lightning and Zack sort of guessed it, already. She remembers who was living with who while the blonde was still in Luceti, though... and she knows about the secret regarding why nobody from "after" Aerith is able to talk about what they'd recently done with her.... ]

... Sometimes I wonder- even though these 'experiments' keep taking place every once in a while, it's probably the stuff in-between that they're more interested in with us. In the end, just having us here - from different times, from different worlds - causes a lot more problems than anything else they manage to cook up.

Problems--the different times? [ She sounds genuinely surprised by the suggestion, turning to Light. ] But I got to see them a little while longer, and I've gotten to see Vincent and Zack...

[ And then she pouts. ] And, you know, you really need to have some fun. Stop thinking about serious things! We can play every once in a while.

[ Yep, that one definitely flew right over Aerith's head. Lightning should really get a handle on this bringing things down problem, shouldn't she?Just in case being aware of it becomes important during conversations with boys in the near future. ]

Yeah, yeah...

[ And silence, as she just kind of thinks and dodges people walking in the other direction. Just remember that you're the one who made friends with this girl, Aerith. ]

[This time she smiles, because why yes she did make friends with this girl. And Vincent's brooding trumps hers any day. ]
